About our patient group

The PPG is made up of a group of patients who discuss what happens at the surgery and how the group can help the Surgery to give the best service to their patients. It is not for whingeing about appointments, referrals etc. There are other avenues to use for any Complaints etc.

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.

To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

The PPG group consists of patients that meet regular either in person or via email conversation.

If you would like to become a member or would like further information please email gp-p92646@nhs.net or complete our online form.

The group has helped the surgery in the past with “The Big Coffee Morning”, flu clinics, Charity days e.g. Breast Cancer-“Wear it Pink”  Children in Need days etc.

PPG Members: David, Ann, Crys, Sam, Elliott, Ian & Dorothy

TABA + Patient Group

Our practice is looking at ways to improve patient participation in how the practice runs and works for it’s patients.

We are part of the TABA+ (Tyldesley, Atherton, Boothstown, Astley) Primary Care Network (PCN).

We have now started PCN wide monthly PPG meetings which are held at Elmfield Surgery in Atherton.

Further information on these meetings can be found on the TABA PCN website
